Vietnam's Labour Code regulates labour outsourcing, where a worker employed by one enterprise works under another's direction: it needs a licence and a deposit, is limited to jobs on the Government's list, and to 12 months per worker. An EOR hire who works under your direction can fit that definition.

The best EOR for Vietnam explains how its model fits those rules, itemises social, health and unemployment insurance and the trade union fee, and can sponsor work permits if you're hiring a foreigner.

EOR services in Vietnam at a glance

  • The 5 providers shortlisted here publish starting fees of US$199โ€“599 per employee per month (about โ‚ซ5,166,000โ€“โ‚ซ15,549,000 at the US Treasury rate of 30 September 2026).
  • Mandatory employer costs add about 24% on top of a salary of โ‚ซ360,000,000.
  • Key issue: Labour outsourcing is licensed and capped at 12 months.

  1. 1

    Labour outsourcing compliance

Ask whether the provider holds a labour outsourcing licence and the 12-month limit applies, or how else it employs in Vietnam, and what it would do for someone you want to keep longer.

  2. 2

    Itemised contributions

For a Vietnamese employee the employer pays 23.5% of salary, mostly capped at VND 50.6 million a month. Ask for each fund and the trade union fee to be shown separately.

  3. 3

    Foreign hires

Foreign employees need a work permit of up to 2 years, are outside unemployment insurance and accrue severance. Ask whether the provider sponsors permits and what it charges.

  4. 4

    Bonuses and leave

There's no statutory 13th-month salary, so check how the contract treats a Tแบฟt bonus, and that it gives 12 days' annual leave and the 12 public holidays.
