Denmark has low statutory employer costs and no statutory minimum wage. The key EOR question is the Act on Temporary Agency Workers: while placed with you, a worker must get at least the terms that would apply if you had hired them directly, unless the agency follows a national collective agreement for agency work.

The best EOR for Denmark explains which route it uses, applies the Salaried Employees Act on notice and severance, and doesn't stop you from hiring the employee directly later.

EOR services in Denmark at a glance

  • The 5 providers shortlisted here publish starting fees of US$199โ€“599 per employee per month (about DKKย 1,300โ€“DKKย 3,900 at the US Treasury rate of 30 September 2026).
  • Mandatory employer costs add about 2% on top of a salary of DKKย 600,000.
  • Key issue: Agency workers must get the user company's terms unless the agency follows a national collective agreement.

  1. 1

    Agency status and equal treatment

Ask whether the provider treats your arrangement as agency work, and whether it matches your own terms or follows a national collective agreement for agency work.

  2. 2

    Notice and severance

Under the Salaried Employees Act, notice rises from 1 to up to 6 months, and severance of 1 or 3 months' salary is due after 12 or 17 years. Ask how these are handled.

  3. 3

    Holiday and supplement

Employees accrue 25 days' paid holiday a year, and monthly-paid staff get a 1% holiday supplement. Check both are in the quote.

  4. 4

    Hiring the employee later

The Act bans clauses that stop you hiring the worker directly, though a reasonable fee is allowed. Ask what fee applies.
